Current Classes
Aerial Silks
Day & Time: Every-other Monday from 7:00-8:00pm
Difficulty: Intermediate +
Description: Come take a silks class with the 2016 U.S. Aerial Male Silks Champion! Silks were Brandon’s first apparatus and are still his favorite! This class focuses on foundational movement, sequencing, flexibility, and fabric theory. Students should already have some silk experience, and be at an intermediate level or above.
Aerial Straps
Day & Time: Every-other Monday from 8:00-9:00pm
Difficulty: Intermediate +
Description: Straps are amazing for developing your acrobatics across all apparatus, but they require a good amount of prerequisite strength. Having said that, students will begin this class with conditioning and strength training, and then progress to traditional straps techniques including meathooks, rollups, spinning, and duo work. As with the other Monday class above, Brandon switches off with another amazing Aeris Coach Dani for this two hour block every other week.
Beginning Silks
Day & Time: Tuesdays from 6:30-7:30pm
Difficulty: All Levels
Description: As a designated beginning class, all students from the very-first-timers to the advanced are welcome to join in. This class covers a repeating curriculum of wraps, climbs, sequences, flexibility, and strength training that is accessible to those who have never done any aerial before, as well as excellent for the student who wishes to polish their basics. This class can get full quickly, so signing up ahead is highly recommended!
Aerial Hammock
Day & Time: Thursdays from 6:00-7:00pm
Difficulty: All Levels
Description: If you’ve never done aerial before, Hammock is a great apparatus to begin with! It doesn’t take as much strength as silks (as you don’t do nearly as much climbing!) but is versatile enough to enhance your yoga practise, or create a full circus-style act on. This Class focuses on gaining core strength, building technique, and moving with flow in the air.
Flexibility for Aerial
Day & Time: Thursdays from 7:00-8:00pm
Difficulty: All Levels
Description: Make your thursday evenings a Brandon Double-Feature by sticking around after hammock for Flexibility! This is a general stretching class that is less intense than contortion (beginners more than welcome), and will help you build toward flexibility needed for true aerial work. Each class has a different intention and body-area focus, so come weekly for the most long-term progress!
Contortion & Handbalancing
Day & Time: Fridays from 12:00-1:30pm
Difficulty: Intermediate +
Description: This is a 90 minute class combining high-flexibility and contortion practise with handstand training. Each Class will have a different focus and mix of these two disciplines. Because of the inherent difficulty in both, students should have a good foundation of flexibility already. If you are still beginning your stretch journey, Flexibility for Aerial is going to be the class for you!
